The ads are everywhere telling you how great this light-rail system is, how it can get you up and down the strip in under 15 minutes for only $3.00. What they don't tell you is that it is a 20 minute walk from Las Vegas Blvd to any station, you have to walk through an entire casino, plus it's mall, plus more walking just to buy your ticket, and that for the cost of 3 people taking the monorail in one direction you could get a taxi cab to the front door of most any casino on The Strip. If you are at The Hilton, or traveling alone and going from the MGM to the Sahara, it might be worth your time (the Hilton station is in a really good place, nice and accessable). Otherwise, valet your car or take a cab or just walk. You'll save yourself trouble and money in the long run.
